Let’s Create Something Special Together!

Thank you for your interest in one of my handcrafted birdhouses! I’m excited to learn more about what you have in mind. Each birdhouse I create is truly one-of-a-kind, made with love from reclaimed wood and natural materials I’ve gathered right here on Vancouver Island.

To help me craft the perfect home for your feathered friends, I’d love to know a bit more about your vision and what you’re looking for.

Which style caught your eye?

Please let me know which birdhouse design inspired you to reach out – whether it’s the whimsical Fantasy Cabin in the Woods, the charming Hobbit House, or perhaps you have something completely different in mind!

What size are you thinking?

I work with three main categories – Large (starting at $180), Medium (starting at $100), and Small/Hanging versions. But I’m always happy to discuss custom sizing if you have specific space requirements.

Any special customizations?

This is where the magic happens! Do you envision extra mushroom details, specific types of moss or lichen, copper accents, special roofing, tiny railings, or maybe a unique chimney design? I love adding those personal touches that make each piece special.

Once I receive your details, I’ll give you a call so we can chat about your vision, discuss pricing based on the level of detail and customization you’re looking for, and talk about timing for your project.

Each birdhouse takes time to craft properly – from selecting the perfect pieces of reclaimed wood to hand-making those tiny mushroom chimneys and carefully placing each bit of moss and lichen. I’ll give you a realistic timeline so you know when to expect your one-of-a-kind creation.

I can’t wait to hear about your project and create something truly special for you!

I find it’s always best to have a good conversation about your project. When we talk, I’d love to learn more about:

Where will your birdhouse live? Will it be nestled in a garden, hanging from a favorite tree, displayed on a deck, or perhaps gracing a special spot in your yard? Knowing its future home helps me choose the right materials and weathering considerations.

Is this for someone special? Many of my birdhouses become treasured gifts – whether for anniversaries, birthdays, Father’s Day, or just because someone loves nature. If it’s a gift, tell me about the person! Do they love fairy tales, prefer rustic charm, or have a favorite type of bird they’re hoping to attract?

Any special occasion or meaning? Some of my most meaningful projects have been commemoration pieces – like the Father’s Day gift I made with my grandson, or birdhouses that celebrate new homes, retirements, or memorial gardens. These stories help me add those perfect finishing touches.

Additional design elements? Are there specific birds you’re hoping to welcome? Perhaps you’d love a tiny fire pit detail, want extra moss for that woodland feel, or have seen other natural elements that speak to you? I’m always foraging for new materials and love incorporating special requests.
